This restoration project is part of a home remodeling project in Lawrence, Kansas. The wall above the fireplace was water damaged and rotting, and the brickwork was beginning to fall out from the mortar deterioration. We took the wall back to the original brickwork that was hidden and repaired the wall, the mantle and the fireplace. We also added two support columns and a stained cornice at the top along the wall.
